The programme, which brings together national and international entrepreneurs aims to provide empowered female tech-preneurs with an international platform for accelerating startups
Chosen as one of the top 3 winners, out of 75 companies across Sri Lanka, participants were afforded 5 minutes to pitch their start-up concept to a panel of local judges.
The Competition hosted in Sri Lanka was conducted in partnership with Hatch Works and took place over a period of one [01] month.
Commenting on her national placement, Co-Founder, Connect Co. - Shenelle Perera, stated

Typical feminine characteristics such as empathy and emotion which were considered to be traditional biases are now changing business culture with women bringing a new spectrum of thinking to the table.

The 2021 She Loves Tech Competition takes place in over 40 countries, including Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greater China, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, USA, the UAE and the UK.
The competition brings together over 3,000 companies from across the globe for its international finals.
This year’s international finals are expected to be held in December 2021.
Concluding, Perera, stated “She Loves Tech’ offered us an opportunity to showcase the innovative solutions and developments Connect Co uses throughout its business operations and in customer management.
I thank the organisers for the opportunity to have been part of this competition and I hope more females will continue to exploit these opportunities to showcase the immense talent we have in Sri Lanka and overseas.”
