Amanera to open in the Dominican Republic

Aman has announced the launch of Amanera, scheduled to open in the Dominican Republic in late 2015.

Overlooking Playa Grande Beach, Amanera will be the first golf-integrated Aman, situated along the Playa Grande Golf Course, renowned for having the most ocean-side holes in the Western hemisphere.

Designed by John Heah, the resort is perched on 60-foot cliffs and features 25 Casitas rather than traditional rooms or suites, that reflect the landscape of the surrounding region.

Each of the one-bedroomed Casitas enjoys unobstructed ocean vistas from an expansive terrace, outdoor seating and lounging areas and through floor-to-ceiling windows from the spacious, high-ceilinged living and sleeping areas.

Every Casita is accessed via a winding pathway through a private garden and 13 Casitas feature their own 10-metre private swimming pools.

Guests will also enjoy access to the Aman Clubhouse, fitness centre, tennis courts and the Aman Spa.
