These workers are employed by specific sub-contractors and represent small groups.
Additionally, it may be noted that these identified workers have been working at the site for over a year and are not new arrivals into Sri Lanka.
Following the confirmation, the respective accommodation facilities have been sanitized and placed under lockdown where movement is restricted.
All the workers are being well looked after and necessary medical care and support has been provided.
Stringent checks as mandated by relevant authorities are being strictly followed before anyone is allowed to enter the site premises.
The site adheres to Government regulations to prevent the spread of the virus while keeping the site construction operating in a safe manner.
L&T and WLPL continue to monitor the situation closely and are working in close coordination with the health authorities.
