ComBank honoured once again by LMD as the ‘Most Awarded Entity’ in Sri Lanka

Businesscafe - The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has been ranked the ‘Most Awarded Corporate Entity’ in Sri Lanka in 2024 by LMD, conferring this accolade on Sri Lanka’s leading private sector bank for the second consecutive year.

According to LMD, Commercial Bank topped a list of the cream of the country’s corporate sector giants with a total of 115 awards, based on the magazine’s research and verification by the company.

“Our research identified 496 award-winning corporate entities – more than double the 227 featured in the previous edition – collectively securing 2,831 awards,” LMD said.

It said the study involved the compilation of a comprehensive list of awards won by entities featured in LMD’s 2024 special editions – viz. Brands Annual, Most Respected, Corporate Life (which includes the Corporate Happiness Index or CHI and Best Workplaces in Sri Lanka) and LMD 100 (2023/24).

Commenting on this accolade, Commercial Bank Managing Director/CEO Mr Sanath Manatunge said:

Commercial Bank is the first Sri Lankan bank to be listed among the Top 1000 Banks of the World and has the highest market capitalisation in the Banking Sector in the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE).
