The initiative emphasizes Vision Care's dedication to the comprehensive development of young minds and their vision.
Designed to inspire and cultivate creativity among Sri Lankan schoolchildren, the competition featured five categories : Primary, Post Primary, Junior, Senior, and Senior Secondary.
Participants used various artistic mediums to depict their imaginative visions of the future.
This island-wide initiative attracted an incredible 10,000 submissions, out of which 1000 were selected for the second round—a live drawing session held in Colombo, Galle, Ratnapura, Embilipitiya, Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, and Jaffna.
These sessions offered children from across the nation an opportunity to showcase their creativity in real time, ensuring inclusivity and representation for all regions.
A panel of distinguished judges meticulously evaluated the artwork, culminating in an Awards Ceremony at the Royal Institute International Auditorium in Nugegoda.
The event honored winners for their remarkable artistic achievements with cash prizes and valuable gifts.
Top honors included 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each category, along with Excellence Awards, Distinction Awards, and Merit Awards.
Noteworthy winners included Abises Amarasinghe in the Primary Category (Grades 1-2-3), Matheesha Adhikari in the Post Primary Category (Grades 4-5-6), Randidu Udiranga in the Junior Category (Grades 7-8-9), Vidarshana Nirmani in the Senior Category (Grades 10-11), and L.K. Dimalka Induranpitiya in the Senior Secondary Category (Grades 12-13).
