The institute proudly took home the titles of National Winner for Best Innovative Product in EdTech, Central Province Winner for Best Innovative Product in EdTech, and Central Province Winner for Best Startup.
The highly anticipated event drew the country’s brightest minds in technology and innovation, making it one of the most significant gatherings in the Sri Lankan tech calendar.
Representing ANKA Technologies at the awards ceremony was its dedicated team, led by visionary Founder, CEO, and Director Mr. Jude Xavier, who proudly accepted the accolades on behalf of the institute.
Founded with a vision to revolutionize education in Sri Lanka, ANKA Technologies became a trailblazer in the Central Province by introducing a comprehensive and modern approach to technology education for students.
In 2023, the institute introduced a structured, hands-on STEM and coding curriculum for school-aged students, becoming one of the first in the region to do so.
It was a bold move to bridge the gap in tech-based learning in Sri Lanka.
The curriculum emphasized problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, which opened opportunities for students to access future-ready education in the modern digital world.
ANKA Technologies’ commitment to quality and global standards was quickly recognized when the institute became officially accredited by STEM.org, a prestigious international body in the United States that promotes STEM education worldwide.
This accreditation reflects the institute’s adherence to high instructional standards, and ANKA currently boasts more than five STEM.org Certified Educational Instructors, a rare distinction in Sri Lanka.
Recognizing the growing demand for advanced technology education, ANKA partnered with RobotLAB USA to expand its curriculum and introduce Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for learners aged 11 and above.
Through this collaboration, students gained access to international-grade learning tools and real-world technology experiences.
One of ANKA Technologies’ most groundbreaking milestones came in 2024 with the introduction of NAO, Sri Lanka’s first humanoid robot for coding education.
This was soon followed by the introduction of Pepper, another globally renowned humanoid robot.
These robots transformed the classroom environment into a dynamic and engaging learning space, allowing students to interact with real AI-powered machines as they learned coding, robotics, and machine learning principles.
With these initiatives, Anka Technologies was able to enhance the quality of instruction and spark curiosity and passion in students, many of whom are now considering careers in STEM fields thanks to these early exposures.
The triple win at the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards is more than just a recognition of the institute - it is a testament to the vision, dedication, and relentless hard work of the ANKA Technologies team.
From instructors, R&D Team to administrative leaders, everyone at ANKA has worked tirelessly to bring innovative educational opportunities to life.
As ANKA Technologies continues to grow, the institute remains steadfast in its mission to expand access to high-quality STEM, Robotics, and AI education across Sri Lanka.
With plans to scale its programs, introduce new AI-integrated courses, and further enrich its partnerships, the future looks bright for both the institute and the students it serves.
By breaking barriers and setting new benchmarks in EdTech, ANKA Technologies has truly positioned itself as a national leader in educational innovation, which was proudly affirmed at the SLASSCOM National Ingenuity Awards 2025.
