Homagama experiences the Mahapola Lotto Mega Blast

Continuing its growing, nation-wide programme of awareness building that not only educates potential customers about its "pick your own number" lotto concept but also entertains them at the same time, Mahapola Lotto again hosted its much-loved Mega Blast Carnival, on September 26, 2014, at the Wilfred Senanayake Grounds in Homagama.

A gala musical showcase that not only entertained its key, fast growing Homagama audiences, but also created awareness of its innovative lotto product amongst the populace, even allowing them to try it out for themselves.

A natural extension to Mahapola Lotto’s organic growth across Colombo and its suburbs, this consumer promotion in Homagama followed a series of awareness building mini-activations encompassing Nugegoda, Kohuwala, Maharagama, Piliyandala, Kottawa, Ratmalana, Moratuwa, Dehiwala and Mount Lavinia.

Featuring popular musicians such as Flashback, Supriya, Nuwan Gunawardana and Sohan Perera, as well as up-and-coming regional artists, this most recent Mahapola Lotto Mega Blast Carnival was highly praised by attendees, who were especially impressed by the nationally recognised performers taking part in this regional musical show.

While the audience was no doubt thrilled by its gift of music, dance and other forms of entertainment, the main focus for Mahapola Lotto in the Homagama area was, as always, raising awareness of its first-in-Sri Lanka "pick your own number" lotto concept and its yet to be won Rs. 150 million grand jackpot.

However, most important of all, Mahapola Lotto was proud to let the people of Homagama know that a significant portion of earnings from this lottery, and its continually expanding dealer network, which recently also made its presence known in the North and East, has already started helping to fund the long-running and highly-respected Mahapola national higher education scholarship programme.
