Between 300,000 kg and 400,000 kg of mangoes out of the expected harvest are planned to be exported to countries such as the United States (US), France, Sweden, Singapore, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and the Maldives, thereby securing considerable foreign exchange revenue to Sri Lanka.
At present, the highest market for Nelna mangoes is in the Maldives and Middle Eastern countries.
They have also planned to launch many by-products using mangoes during the coming festive season.
Having cultivated mangoes on more than 750 acres of land in the Ratnapura and Monaragala Districts, Nelna Agri Development has become the largest mango planter in the country today.
They produce mangoes with perfect taste and quality through environment and people-friendly methods.
