The National Mobile Service Provider Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel in partnership with Sport 1st recently announced the launch of Platinum Awards 2014, an award ceremony benchmarked as the pinnacle of sporting achievements.
The Platinum Awards will Reward and Recognize Sri Lankan sports stars for their efforts in keeping the passion of sports alive in the hearts of millions of Sri Lankans.
Organized for the first time in Sri Lanka with a vision to honour athletes who have displayed exceptional talent, determination and dedication, The Platinum Awards will recognize sportsmen and women from myriad categories in a night of glitz, glamour and celebration on the 30th of October 2014.
The event is set to see a build up to the Awards Night inclusive of a road show covering 30 towns across the island, opening up the opportunity for all sportsmen and women across Sri Lanka to hand in their nominations.
