Hemas Hospitals’ Maathru maternity package, re-enhanced to give best start to life

In celebration of 10,000 births at their hospitals and to give the best possible start to life, Hemas Hospitals a market leader in healthcare, has re-enhanced their existing ‘Maathru’ maternity package for expectant mothers.

A host of extra benefits have been added on to the existing maternity package ensuring superior service delivery in maternity care, across their multi-chain.

The new ‘Maathru’ package was launched at Hemas Hospital Wattala, officiated by the Chief Guest on the occasion, Dr Kanthi Ariyaratne, Director, Private Health Sector Regulatory Council and Guest of Honour, Ms Lalitha Abeygunawardena, president of Nursing Council of Sri Lanka.

While stepping into motherhood at Hemas Hospitals, each new mother will be showered with a host of gifts, including a savings account with HNB for the new born, with an initial deposit of Rs 1,500/-.


Gift packs of baby toiletries, diapers and infant clothes, bottles and baby accessories are also part of the generous Maathru package.


Importantly, the Mum to be has access to post-delivery care of the new born, including breast feeding, ante-natal and other essential tips in coping with a new born infant.

Babies born under the Maathru package are also entitled to free vaccinations and inoculations at Hemas Hospitals, up to 10 years of age.

Parents can also rest assured that the hospital’s support facilities of Intensive Care Units, superior surgical theatres and blood bank, are all available and accessible for any emergencies.

The packaged maternity deal offers two distinct payment packages, based on the requirements of the parents.
