Rainco unfurls “Tharageta Kuda Ihalamuda”

Rainco the no. 1 brand in Sri Lanka for umbrellas, mosquito nets and raincoats recently launched a consumer promotion titled “Tharangeta Kuda Ihalamuda?” to engage and reward loyal Rainco customers.

The promotion was from 15th July to the 30th of September 2014. The number of entries received, exceeded 35,000. The prizes included a Scooter, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, Pedestal Fan, Rice Cooker, Blender and Iron.


“It has been an unprecedented response”, said MD Rainco, Mr. Fazal Fausz, “and we would like to thank each and everyone who took the effort to send in their entries, whilst we are pleased that we got the opportunity to reward our loyal patrons”.

The grand draw to select the winners was held at the Hilton Hotel in the presence of Home Ministry officials and celebrity Chief Guests Filmstar Sangeetha and Singer Iraj.

The lucky winners were 


First prize of a Scooter was won by S.A. Amaya Shirazi from Minneriya, second prize of a Fridge was won by H.A. Shirani Pushpalatha from Kotugoda, third prize of a washing machine was won by Danushka Sudath from Weligama, fourth prize of a pedestal fan was won by Monica Jagoda from Waduramba, fifth prize of a Rice Cooker was won by Ratnayake Liyanage Sunil from Deniyaya, sixth prize of a Blender went to Kumudini Kariyawasam from Boralesgamuwa and the final prize of an Iron went to Pavithra Shamalee from Weligama.
