McLarens Lubricants lends a helping hand to the less fortunate

McLarens Lubricants Ltd, the Sole distributor of ExxonMobil Lubricants in Sri Lanka, recently conducted another CSR project to help uplift the lives of the less fortunate people of rural Sri Lanka.

The latest CSR project was conducted at the Perakum Vidyalaya in the Galkulama area in Anuradhapura.


The Company helped distribute a variety of much-needed items to the needy children from Grades One to Five.


Among the items were school books, lunch boxes, water bottles and stationery.


In addition to this, several items including chairs, water dispensers and a first aid box was handed over to the Principal’s office.

The items were donated by Mr. Hemantha Varnasooriya - Managing Director, Lalith De Silva - Director Chaminda Gunarathne – General Manager and Dilan Senevirathne - General Manager of McLarens Lubricants at a simple ceremony at the school.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hemantha Varnasoorya stated, “Children are the future of our nation.


In order to produce responsible future citizens we need to channel every possible resource to give our children good facilities for education during their formative years.


As we continue to grow as a company, it is our responsibility to look into the needs of these children and help improve their lives so that they may have a brighter tomorrow.”

This CSR project is one of several conducted by McLarens Lubricants over the past several months.


According to company sources, several new CSR projects have been earmarked for the year 2015.
