The internal document, reported by 9to5mac, stated that the smart watch will be released in the spring, after Chinese New Year on 19 February.
Ahrendts’ document reportedly said: “We're going into the holiday, we'll go into Chinese New Year, and then we've got a new watch launch coming in the spring.”
The news marks the first confirmation of when the wearable tech will be made available for sale, following Apple chief executive Tim Cook's claim that it would be launched “early” in 2015.
Last week, Cook admitted the Apple Watch would require charging on a daily basis.
The Apple Watch’s poor battery life was not discussed during the product’s launch in September.
