The leaflet, designed by the Expressway Operation Maintenance and Management Division detailed general safety guidelines which included the maximum speed allowed on the highway and proper overtaking techniques.

“We are proud to have had this opportunity to partner with the Expressway Operation Maintenance and Management Division to promote highway safety to the general public,” said Lalinda Kalubowila, CEO of Walkers CML Properties (Pvt) Ltd explaining the commitment of Walkers CML to sustainable highway development in Sri Lanka.

“The volume of traffic during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year was unprecedented.

Speaking on the collaboration he further adds, “Highways are still relatively new to most motorists in Sri Lanka and it is critical that highway safety is clearly communicated to all entering the highway.

We are grateful to Walkers CML Properties (Pvt) Ltd for partnering with us to ensure public safety and we look forward to a long standing partnership”.
