Galle Club holds its inaugural AGM

The inaugural AGM of the Galle Club which was recently held at the Mövenpick Hotel, Colombo, marked a new chapter in solidarity and connectivity amongst schools across Sri Lanka.

The British Council today announced the findings of its English Impact Survey – an evaluation of English Language capabilities amongst students in schools across Sri Lanka.

This year celebrated the last year of the International School Awards in Sri Lanka and the occasion was marked by the presence of Sunil Hettiarachchi, Secretary to the Ministry of Education and James Dauris, British High Commissioner.

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale 2018 was officially inaugurated by Chief Guest, Hon. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Minister of Education of Sri Lanka, alongside Founders and Managing Directors of Big Bad Wolf Books, Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng.

Sri Lanka’s National Mobile Service Provider, Mobitel, has stepped forward as the Official Telecommunications Partner for the world’s biggest book sale, the ‘Big Bad Wolf Book Sale’ to be held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) from 28th June until 8th July 2018 for the second consecutive year.

As part of SLASSCOM’s initiative to advocate the creation of regional cities and bring about inclusive growth to Sri Lanka, it is organising Galle IT/BPM Week on 22 June, 6th and 7th of July 2018 to build human capacity in the regional cities.
