Honda announces Euro-spec Accord will be axed next year

A Honda representative has announced the Euro-spec Accord will be discontinued in 2015.

In an interview with The Motor Report, Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins said the Accord in European specification will be terminated next year not only in Australia but in all markets where it's currently commercialized.

Collins went on to say that February will be the last month of production for the units sold in Australia so around that time the model will likely be discontinued from all the other markets.

Honda has already ruled out the possibility of introducing the China-spec Spirior while the Acura TLX is not being considered so a replacement is not planned. It should be mentioned that Honda is selling in Australia right now both the old Accord Euro which will get axed next year and the ninth-gen Accord that will obviously live on.
